It's movie review time! Well since we were so exhausted from working in the yard today, I knew Trey would be asleep as soon as he hit the sofa so it was CHICK FLICK NIGHT!!! I watched THE PERFECT MAN. Two thumbs up! Such a girly movie but I just loved it. It had some really cute parts which made me laugh. If you've got a night without boys, get this movie. It's a "make you feel good" movie about love.

I borrowed my brother's truck today to run around and get all of the big things that wouldn't fit in our SUV's. He had the radio set to a country station. I hardly ever listen to radio music - I get so sick of it sometimes. Usually I just play the ipod or talk on the phone when I'm in the car. But today a song came on called "You're Gonna Miss This." I had no idea who sang it but the words really spoke to me. I came home and looked it up on itunes and it is by Trace Adkins. For those of you with young kids, it really will strike a chord. Raising young children (and I suppose children of any age) can be so difficult. It's easy to think - gosh, when am I gonna get through this? Even at every age - you always want to be at the next step, right? The grass is always greener, I suppose. But this song made me "take a good look around" because these days are ones that I will look back and miss. Even bad days when my boys are being a handful for one reason or another. I'm going to put the lyrics to this song and if you get a chance listen to the song. It just makes me slow down and enjoy all of the little things in my life.
