Shark Week

This week is Shark Week on Discovery channel. We were watching this amazing show today and I learned something that I had never heard of. It's a phenomenon called tonic immobility. It's when a shark becomes "paralyzed" when you rub it's nose and flip it upside down. It can stay in this state for up to 15 minutes. It was really amazing to see these sharks enter a state of paralysis with just a gentle human touch. Here's a link to see a little more info:
