Game Updates

Swansea* vs. Pelion - we lost to Pelion by 1 point. I told ya it would be close!

Byrnes vs. North Gwinnett - I listened to the second half of this game online and even though they managed a victory, Byrnes totally bonked on the first quarter. They were losing at the half but came back to secure the win in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Go Rebs!

Dorman and Gaffney went into OVERTIME with a score of 0 to 0!!! I'm sure it was a slugfest! Dorman pulls a victory over Gaffney (in Gaffney's brand new stadium) 6-0.

Charleston Collegiate* beats Beaufort Academy 65-0. Hank Campbell, former player at USC, is the head coach (and Trey helped him get the job) so we're happy for Hank to have a great night of success.

Summerville lost to Conway. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA! (I really dislike Summerville)

Columbia Capitals* beat AC Flora.

Irmo** lost to Ridgeview 7 to 14.

Lower Richland* beat Dreher.

USC vs. NC State - well, this game picked up towards the end, too. At least the Gamecocks start their season 1-0.

LSU beat App State. I know App State pulled a huge upset against Michigan last year but they didn't have it in them to turn the tables on LSU today. But, it was a nice effort. App State has a BEAUTIFUL campus, by the way!

Florida shredded Hawaii. But at least they get to go back to a beautiful island!

Coastal Carolina was stomped by Penn State BUT seeing how this is only their 6th year for having a football program (of which Tyler was their very first quarterback) this is a pretty big accomplishment to get a big game like this. Go Chanticleers!

VT lost to ECU - glad to see Skip Holtz have some success. And I'm sure most people thought ECU would leave with a loss. I always like to see an underdog succeed (and did you know Sandra Bullock went to ECU? - random info for the day)
