Ok, I've never been a big fan of the mountains. Not sure why - just never cared much for them. Fast forward a decade - I've changed my mind. I guess it's just being older and appreciating the simple things in life. We went to NC for a birthday party this weekend in the mountains of Bostic, NC. It was just beautiful. The weather was perfect, the views were magnificent and it was just extremely peaceful (ok so the kids weren't there and that certainly helped). We weren't even there 24 hours but it was a releaxing (although brief) get away. Trey and I are hoping to go back after football season - I can't think of anything better than being in the mountains, wearing sweaters and jackets and drinking hot chocolate and enjoying the silence (the kids definately can't go - it would totally ruin the experience). So there - I admit it. I've changed my mind. I can't wait to go back!
