McAdenville, NC (and Gastonia, too)

Friday night we went to see the lights at Christmas Town (McAdenville, NC). These pictures are out of order but I'm not going to fix them.

Here's how it all went down.

We left Columbia and drove to McAdenville. We went through McAdenville and saw the lights - which the boys LOVED. It was a little sad, though, because McAdenville has changed A LOT over the years. They tore down a lot of the mill houses and have built new houses. It really isn't the same as it used to be but the kids didn't know any different and they had loads of fun.

We left the lights and drove to Gastonia and had some dinner at R.O.'s barbecue. What is the significance of R.O's? Well, that's where Trey's grandparents had their very first date. So, it's always fun to go and eat there when we can.

After R.O's we went to Krispy Kreme. We all had snowman doughnuts. They were yummy. But Nolan really only liked the icing. You'll see the picture below.

After a trip to Starbucks for a hazlenut hot chocolate and the gas station for a full tank of gas, we headed home. It was one of the most amazing trips. It's everything I always pictured when I dreamed of spending the holidays with my children.
