Facing the Giants

Thumbs down.

This moving was supposed to be an inspirational story about overcoming obstacles, adversity and team unity. While I appreciated the concept and even the positive Christian morals of the movie, the actors were absolutely horrible. I am convinced I could have done better myself with zero acting ability. It was like a bad play that was made into a movie. And while the team and individuals in this movie trusted that God would bring them through their obstacles, the outcome was very unrealistic. Everything that was challenging these characters in the movie all worked out in their favor at the end. While I know that God can make anything possible, including miracles, He doesn't always make things work the way we think they should. I guess that is my biggest complaint about this movie. I wish that they had tried to make it more realistic even though it wasn't based on any actual story. So long story short - don't rent this movie unless there isn't ANYTHING else left at Blockbuster or wherever you are. It isn't even worth the $4. Go to McDonalds and get ice cream instead.
