Peyton is moving to the 3 year old room at daycare and Nolan is moving to the 2 year old room. The big shake up is happening June 4 ( I think - need to check the calendar). Peyton is supposed to be potty trained to go to the 3 year old room so it was pretty much common knowledge that he would be staying in the 2 year old room until he was potty trained and I was fine with that (plus I really would have enjoyed P&N being in the same room...would really make dropping them off and picking them up much easier!) P has been using the potty 5 times a day at daycare - now being at home is another story although he did go twice last night. You just have to force him to go b/c when you say "Peyton, do you need to potty?" His answer is ALWAYS "No." So in my opinion Peyton is daycare trained - isn't that funny? Moms are always talking about Day trained and Night trained - b/c that is two different worlds - but I've never heard anyone say "Daycare Trained" - my son is a one and only, isn't he?!?! Anyway - last night the owner, Pam, told me that they were going to go ahead and put P in the 3 year old room but if his potty using became an issue they would move him down to the 2 year old room. Now, if N were not going to be in the 2 year old room and it was a bunch of strangers I would not be happy about it but since N will be there - if he gets booted - at least there will be a familiar face in there. Basically it boiled down to the fact that Peyton is such a big 3 year old (tall but lean) and the 2 year olds coming over were so young - it would just be too much of an age/size difference (Peyton is 95% for his height and towers over most kids his age...not to mention those younger)...
So, with excitement and a little bit of sadness - the boys are moving up in this world. I can't believe my first born is already 3. Where has the time gone?
A little over 3 weeks until Nolan's birthday! :-)
