I will admit - David Cook was not initially my favorite but he certainly grew on me. I watched AI half-heartedly this year but something about David Cook made me intrigued. I kept pulling for him without voting but last night after Simon practically declared David A. the winner, I got on the phone and voted. I made over 120 calls and only got through 3 times. I suggested to Stephanie that Simon was using reverse psychology as he had already said on the Ellen show that David Cook deserved to win. So after last night - what did every David Cook fan do? The same thing I did. Guess Archuleta's fans didn't feel as much urgency as the cook camp did. And with over 12 million more votes than David A., our voting was a job well done. I think this guy will be very successful - he already sounds like a pro. And I'm still shocked that he wasn't even going to try out for AI - he went for moral support for his brother and ended up trying out after they told him he was! Great job, America. You picked a fantastic winner!
