I have noticed a bird on our front porch visiting one of our ferns very frequently lately. I went outside today to water all of the plants and to my surprise after I took the ferns down from their hooks, I noticed why the bird has been coming around - she has little baby eggs that she's protecting! I was quite shocked (although I should have figured it out) and made sure to be very careful when watering the fern but I will be glad when the eggs hatch and I can have my fern back so I can just water it the way I usually do. But, it was a very sweet surprise to find. Here are some pictures...

I have the same sitution in gville, except the eggs have hatched. These furry little heads are hanging out in the nest now. Precious! Call me sometime so we can catch up!
